2016 being such a year of firsts, I was quite pleased with my first time shooting in a hangar, complete with real planes! Beaufort West’s Central High School matric farewell happened in August 2016, and in between traveling and working I was able to fit in a special occasion portrait shoot with the lovely young Marcelle and her friend prior to their big evening.
As it sometimes goes, they were running quite late, and we had all of 20 minutes to get in place, park the car, get the nervous young couple relaxed in front of the camera (and the family crowd), and get them back on time for the big procession through town, 10km away, to the hall where they were going to spend the rest of the evening.
Of course, there were the planes! I was so stoked to be shooting a matric farewell against that backdrop, and am quite pleased with how it turned out, especially considering the time-limits.
My portraiture come in full-service packages. Please contact me if you are interested in working with me for your special occasion portraits.
